Aphrodite (now called Scarlett)

Aphrodite n.k.a. Scarlett- Aphrodite, a 6-year-old, Black, Terrier mix, came to Hilton Head Humane in February 2022 from our municipal partner, Beaufort County Animal Services (BCAS). Aphrodite was surrendered to BCAS because her owner had died, and the family members could not keep her. Aphrodite loved to go on walks so she could roll in the grass and puddles. During one particular walk, Aphrodite rolled in a muddy puddle and had to be hosed off before she was returned to her kennel. You couldn’t help but smile while taking Aphrodite for a walk. It took 11 months, but Aphrodite was adopted. She has been renamed Scarlett. Here is what Scarlett’s new mom had to say about her. “It only took about an hour for her to make herself at home, and she has been such a joy to have. She is the sweetest, cuddliest little girl in the whole world. Her training is going well, and she learns commands very quickly. Scarlett has been loving going on long walks, rolling around in leaves, and sleeping in our bed with us every night. We love spoiling her and feel so lucky to have her in our lives.”

We firmly believe that there is the right home for every animal in our care. Thank you for choosing adoption!
