Late 2013 Ambrose arrived in terrible condition. She came to us as a result of a BCSO investigation. She had several puppies, was not eating and tested positive for Heartworm. The kennel staff met every morning with leftovers, special foods etc…anything to make her eat. Once weaned from her puppies she was still very stressed which could make H/W treatment very difficult. It was agreed that she would go home with a staff member for the duration of treatment. As 2022 winds down, 8 years later, she is a happy, healthy, sometimes quirky adoption success story.
